Hi I have an odd foglight I was thinking of adding it via a relay to the rear of the syncro as a reversing light to improve visability at night , I could mount it on the bumper but I may take this off to go off roading as it is chrome one. So possibly mount it on the jail bars? ( I gues I would need some sort of hood to stop reflection from the glass.) whats the legal position on this? if I had a disable switch would that be ok?

I used to have a van that i used for mobile services etc, there is no legal/mot poblems at al i had two chuffin great spotlights fixed to the roof or the van, there classed as work lamps as long as they are feed by a switch and not when u select reverse your fine, i had 100w bulbs in them boy were they brill when reversing but i only used them when there was no one behind!!!!!! Belive it or not you dont actually need reverse lights for an mot, but if there are there the suposed to work, my van that i had, passed 4 mots with no reverse lights and tape over the lenses as to an mot tester tape over a light means its not there !! so fit away just be carefull you dont blind people when reversing out of curtisy!
