Undersealing the Van
Posted: 13 Oct 2011, 14:42
I'm getting the van ready for winter and whilst the weather is good want to get the undersealing done. I know most people would use the Hammerite Underbody sealant, but a friend of mine who restores classic cars has suggested using Chlorinated Rubber Paint, a company called Teamac produce the stuff but it's expensive at £65 + VAT for a 5l tin. Apparently this stuff is used for marine purposes and protects against oil, humidity, chemical spills (including battery acid) and is a once only approach. Has anybody ever used this stuff or shall I stick with the trusty Hammerite?
