Guidance(again)needed please! My van was stolen friday night/saturday morning and shortly afterwards must have been reported to the Police having been abandoned a few miles away. The police thought it had run out of petrol but it hadn't. (Crook lock was fitted through one side of steering wheel so couldn't have been easy to drive!- does anyone know of CrooK locks that are a proper fit?) The van had been hot wired but limited apparent other damage. Is now in the garage for repair and the insurance assessor has seen it and says is unable to source the upper column adapter, steering column and steering column tube? Can anyone point me in the right direction about where I might source these? (van year of manufacture1980). The sad thing is after a really sticky and expensive start since i got my van earlier this year it was now running well ( I say that hesitantly!) and the rebuilt engine sounding good!
ideas welcome. thanks ! Julia

I use one of these on a standard wheel. Fits nicely. For bonus points put it on back to front, so you can't get at the lock with any tools.

Hello - not sure if i imagined a reply asking about van and where I am cos it seems to have disappeared! 2 litre air cooled engine and i live in Edinburgh. Still am a newbie - and looking at the complexity of some of the questions and answers think i'm only going to 'move on' slowly!! thanks Julia
