Hello all,

I've got a tow bar already on the back of my '91 Autohomes Komet 1.6TD but the electrics point was broken at the back and the wiring is missing, has anyone got any "how-to's" in re-wiring these or is it a bit tricky?

what is it you need?

Cant understand what bits broke ?

Buy a new male plug from towsure and use the wiring in the junction box (engine bay bulkhead on the left) to tap into the lights

The tow bar is there and the round metal bracket for the electrics is there...and that's it!

Basically it needs a new socket wired in on the back.

Go see a caravan breakers or similar. If not a buy a new socket. Wiring is easily found on the net. Finding right ones in box is also easy as each will read 12v if its on. Thats how I did mine. In fact I was given a towing board and used that to get connections right.

I was quoted around £90 from a local garage to fit the tow bar electrics so I thought I would give it a go....

Purchased a pre-wired socket from Wilco in Norwich for £7.99 and fitted it myself in 15 mins!

Simple job!!
