electric seat problems

recently fitted a pair of saab electric seats,wired each one up to the battery beneath each seat,live and earth,the passenger seat works no problem but drivers seat works when I connect the power,up,down,back and forward,leave it a minute and try again nothing happens,have dissconected the wires to the memory buttons and still the same,it is as if it is on a timer or something,anyone with an idea,it is doing my head in
