Exhaust options

My early t25 is currently having a new exhaust and some welding done. I have just seen this stainless twin exhaust, has anyone here got one and what do they think of it? I still have time to change my mind!

Hardly any point if thats the only bit you're going to replace. Cheaper to do my bike can mod in 'custom exhausts' section in WIKI. Lots have followed me on that. After all, a complete stainless system is only marginally more depending on where you go. My solution is well under £100 and cheaper than a stock silencer.

I've had one on for about 5 yrs, they sound nice and 'throaty' but not too loud.

They do discolour quite quickly though around the middle so if you want it to stay shiny you had better get some shares in 'Autosol'.

Thanks mate. Decided to stick with the NOS for now, maybe when that one goes!

I had an SS tail pipe on my standard rear silencer...and as it's the bit you see..it looked good and with the obvious benefits of not rusting although, as others have said, they do tarnish and go blue/yellow.

The best SS system available (complete) is the one Simon sells on Brickwerks...you could buy one of his SS tailpipes (big bore) and add other parts as and when needed.

Except, as far as I know, the Brickwerks stainless system is based on the later exhaust system so you couldn't do it bit by bit.

Missed that one...early system doh...although I understand Simon is trailing an early system in SS ATM...might be on sale very soon.
