This is my hood so to speak (I grew up in monmouth)!! - dunno what kind of site you like, but we love Meredith Farm, kinda basic, funny little toilet / shower shack / poundshop with potatoes and jam and stuff, but beautiful setting and views feeding of baby goats on sunday mornings! real oasis. best of all its £7 per night all in flat fee + £2 for hookup fires no problem either

- lovely people run it. We love it as a quick wekend one nighter. Its about 10mins out of monmouth on the hereford rd. Just to pass it on!

Sorry for butting in - but thanks for the suggestion, we usually go to Bracelands but they want 2 nights min which is no good for us so have just booked Saturday night at the Farm. Looking forward to it as looks very peaceful - do you know how close the nearest pub is walking wise?
Thanks again, bring on the weather.
Lisa

Wanna go out to play but can't!
We have a load of family meals this weekend for Julie's birthday so the camping is on hold...
However I might have a cunning plan that involves getting the boat out on the river and mooring up somewhere deserted for a BBQ on Sat if I'm lucky!

Hi Lisa - the nearest pub will be the Garway Moon Inn @ Garway, about 2miles using footpaths, 3 miles on the lanes!. Great pub though
