hi all im new to the site and well...new to the little quirks of owning a camper! im having problems starting the thing. what ive done so far is asfollows
1. removed old alarm wiring that was lying loose and bare behind grill! traced all wires back to steering column wiring.
2. removed and wire brushed earth crown, re fitted.
3. im about to try battery ( been on charge all night)
when i removed the alarm wiring and cleaned up the earths it started up ok no problem, then it just started clicking, as if the power is trying to enguage the starter but it just aint having it. i did start it up quite a few times so im hoping i just flattend the battery off.

ive read previous posts pointing towards batt earth connection, starter connection, gearbox earth etc. as far as i can see so far these seem to be good. a point i will mention is that when i flash my main beam my n/s headlight dims i havent got a clue why and dont know if this is related????

well i will try the batt before anymore wittering on!
any info would be most helpful cheers

Don't rely on sight - the corrosion is where you can't see. Remake all the connections regardless.

well ive only just surfaced from under my camper. removed all connections to starter (which were well corroded) cleaned greased and put back. also did the same with gearbox earth. this seems to have done the trick!!!!! found plenty of other things to keep me occupied whilst i was under though!!!! cheers for advice!
