interior lights

Hi, just wondered how long its ok to use interior lights for on our van as we dont have a leisure battery? The lights are run through a zig unit. So far we have camped on sites with hook up so have only used them for few minutes at a time.

Interior as in front courtesy (come on with the doors) or are you talking camping strip lamps.
Festoons can be changed for LED's that consume much let power:

And strip lights can be fitted with strips of LED's like these = ebay item 190381507333 at only £6.
They use hardly any power (so it's not worth re-wiring to the leisure battery with these) and they ones give off a nice "warm white" light and give out more light than the 2 tubes I took out.

these are led's not flourescent strips like you get in ya kitchen.

They give out a really bright natural light, only pull 1.5 amps and are excellent value for money. I highly recommend them.
