Wondered if anyone can help me please?

What is this on the inside of my sliding door? It looks like a lock of some sort!!

Also, should there be a wheel that runs in the top slot holding the sliding door in place (like there is at the bottom)

Any pictures would be great, oh and mine is the early type.

Jon.

Its what attaches to the hook to keep your slider open.

Nice one Rob. I was scratching my head for a few seconds then. Then I remembered, I was wondering earlier what that hook was for too.
This is my first experience with sliding doors, up until today my door has been kept at the back of the shed whilst I did other things.

Thanks for that, Jon.

In the top is a nylon guide/block about an inch square. without it you will have lots more experience with 'sliding doors' :rofl as in sliding off intop your hand.. if youve not got the block I can send you one

Mine has a bearing too Weldore, but it's not a snug fit in the grove.

Mike, not sure about that nylon guide block. There is what I think is a nylon thing on the runner above the rear wing?

I think I need to study that blown image to check all is there, thanks Rob.

As Weldore says are all doors the same?

Jon.

that diagram is for the later door, yours is the early one if I remember so some bits are different
I thought the very early ones had a nylon block at the top and the centre has a roller and nylon grooved guide

Is the nylon block #30?

Does that make the 'bearing' #33? My bearing doesn't look like #33.

I could be needing that block Mike :D

that 33 looks to be a riser for the nylon bit to sit on..not like on mine

dontwant to thread steal but..can you still get the nylon bit that goes with the runner bearing..as mines worn a groove in it
