Hi all, I'v got a 1982 Vanagon 1.6d left hooker.
Was just wondering my van always takes an age to start, just kicking over for about 8-10 seconds (I wait for the buzzer to stop before I turn her over) Is this normal or do I need to change the glow plugs or something?

Buzzer ??

Yep a buzzer, its from the states.... The coil light always goes out first, but what can I do to make her start better?

if your sure the glow plug side of things is all working then stick a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank.
