Seams?

Good afternoon all,

Is there anyone in the Leeds, Bradford or Cleckhuddersfax area that can recommend a reliable and honest person do do seams on my Bus?

There's no rash to speak of yet, but I can see that the paint in the seams has started to crack, and I can see that there's a small amount of rusty looking discolouration starting to show in one spot.

I'm not 100% sure what the process for getting seams done is (I have a rough idea after reading through a load of threads here), nor do I have a clue of the cost - hence the request for honest and reliable folk to give me a steer.

I have my bus booked in at brickwerks in November for some suspension tinkering - would they be a good bet to advise do you think?

Thanks in advance all.

It's a flexible sealent not paint. I'd wait until you go to Brickwerks, I'm sure they'd be able to advise you and they could have a close look.

Incidentally; is your username a reference to a childrens sci-fi adventure book character by any chance?

Thanks I'll check with them - the person I bought the van from had resprayed it and not all that well it would seam!(sic).

You're the first person that's ever guessed correctly re my username! Kemlo and the spacelanes... it was one of the first SF books I ever read, about a boy who grew up on the moon. It's way older than me, it was one I got from my dad.

Thanks

thin? you know the island has a funny shape sort of rarified up north but sw3ells down south, the reason for this swelling is that all the sediment and carp that we up north get rid off ,goes south, bit like a bottle of dirty water, shake it and settle, you will find a scummy surface at the top..... lovely clear liquid in the middle(just like the midland/north) then all the rubbish and sediment sinks to the bottom just lkike the sarf

I will remember that analogy of the UK for ever, great stuff!! How do we explain that growth that is Wales? And further still Ireland? HaHa Sorry for hi-jacking  Jon.

Think of wales as the Gizzard  and you know what thats for, as for ireland, I will hear no evil spoken of that place as its akin to utopia, well I love the place anyhow.

So the seams must be our stinking arteries ...M1, M6, M5.....and by my rekoning Slough must equate to that messy bit of my sump where the coagulated oil hangs out. Interesting analogy given that Eastbourne and that stretch of the south coast along its widest girth is full of old peoples homes  :) Hackney, by my measurements must be a sort of oasis......

Oh yes, hackney and little venice and a few other spots throughout the country where it goes against the norm.
