ok after thinking id cured my overheating problem i was in for a shock ! drove home from work to find water spraying out of a pin hole in the header tank but the biggest thing seems to be my rad isnt getting hot ? water in the header tank hot and the rads cold the temp gauge goes up until i turn the heater onto warm blow then goes down when i bled the system the other day i had warm water coming out of the bleed screw on the radiator is my rad doomed or the engine ? thanks in advance jeff

bleed it again mate. no expert but the water has a long way to travel and lots of places for air to hide.

I've just flushed through my radiator using a pressure jet - you won''t believe the cr@p that came out. The temperature is more settled and the blower is now hotter...worth considering.

ok i changed the thermostat and bled the hell out of it ! got the rad boiling hot and it sat there with the temp needle at halfway then i got in the cab and slid the heater control over to cold and the needle started to creep up felt the rad and the top of it started to go cold let some more water /air out of the bleed valve and took it for a spin needle sat just over halfway and stayed there fingers crossed its fixed !
