My wbx is completely heathy with the chip fat keeping a respectful distance from the dishwater, thanks
The diesels all seemed to be encumbered with excesses of luxury fittings, so had other issues. Like roofracks falling off...

My perfect syncro would have a diesel engine producing in excess of 225bhp 400ft/lb torque, a 6 speed auto gearbox, low range, and adjustable height suspension.

For historical reasons to do with flat fours I do really love my WBX.

Or you could have,

"4x4 Do you really need it."

or "VW T3 gearbox fundamentally flawed- discus"

or "side wind stability dangerous in a T3 for inexperienced drivers without strong arms"

or "10mph speed limit in built up areas for vehicles with bullbars to avoid serious injury to pedestrians"

"Diesel fumes of older vehicles causes lung cancer and turns buildings black"

My WBX'ers have been pretty reliable over the last 5 yrs.

However the nagging feeling you might be overdoing it and the constant fear of head gasket failure means I will never be a fan of them.

Peace of mind AND sufficient power are the ideal. The WBX offers neither sadly.
