Suffering from a case of steering wheel wobble when goung 50mph +.
What causes this to happen? Had 2 new front tyres fitted on Thursday, but the wobble started the day before I got new tyres.
Cheers

As above - cured mine although I can never work out why VW didn't fit some kind of steering damper on T25s.

Well, it turns out the Drivers side upper ball joint has broken which is most likely causing the steering wheel wobble. I need to drive to my mechanic which is abot 12 miles away. Is this safe or am I running the risk of something going badly wrong?

Got it to the garage ok. This offending ball joint was only replaced 8 weeks ago as it failed MOT.
Should be under warranty?

if were talking the suspension upper ball, surely you mean it is slack as in knakered as opposed to broken like snapped
either way I would want a quality replacement and compensation for the cost of replacing.
who's joint was it

I have a receipt for the work done before and will produce it on completion of the work carried out tomorrow as a reminder. I expect this receipt will start a discussion about matters related to payment.
