My brake lights only work when the pedal is pressed really hard, i have renewed the brake lights switch on the master cylinder but its still the same. Is there a relay or something else that could be at fault?
Any help appreciated.

its a pressure switch... so if you replaced it with correct, your pressure is low, have you checked for leaks?
there are no relays......

There are no leaks the brakes are excellent with good pedal feel, the thread on the brake light switch has not and would not screw completely into the master cylinder it was too tight once it got 3/4 the way in. I wouldnot have thought that this would make any odds as the fluid will be in line and should activate the switch instantly.
I'm stuck on this one!
Any more ideas
Cheers

If the switch wont screw in all the way you may have a bubble of air which will compress without the plunger moving.

OK my plan then is to undo the switch a little until it leaks then pump the brake pedal and let any air and fluid out then screw the switch back in, this way i should eliminate any air and all may work. The switch is just so tight there is no way at present that it will screw in any further.
thanks for the info.
