I doubt you will find a "car battery charger" that can cope with a fridge (unless it is one of the expensive compressor fridges)
Most camper fridges are designed to run on gas when parked up and alternator output when driving.
There are lots of posts on here explaining this!!!!!!!!

You would need a charger with an output of at least 8amps.

xpress, please don't post on an older thread as you've made it non-sensical now. You asked for a 240v to 12v unit that would keep your 12v fridge going right? I pointed you to other thread as they do exist. Basically you want a high amps 12v power supply. I struck gold with mine but do keep an eye on ebay. Its the amps you need to look at. 15-20amp supply would do you.

You can pick them up cheaper than that but thats essentially what you need. Its not a charger you need to be looking for - you need a dedicated supply. Chargers charge, power supplies give a regulated voltage usually with a good few amps beyond small appliance adapters. The two do not mix to be honest.
