diesel coolant?

Am I right in thinking that coolant type is not as imperative on a diesel as a wbx.
only I have some spare halfwits stuff.
I checked the wiki, and searched previous post's but most are about the wbx.

diesels can have any type of coolant

The waterbox engines are delicate flowers, they need all the correct stuff at the right time and in the right amount.
The VW diesel is a bit more industrial, it needs coolant, the coolant should be about the right mix and you should change it every so often.
