I need to replace the plate for the tail gate lock that bolts onto the body. Is this a part available, or is it used only?

Don't know about the plate, but the only place I could find a replacement early tailgate lock was from a VW dealer. Tried JK, breakers, lock smiths, etc.

i have a tailgate striker plate here, pm me if you are interested....
