electrical problem,help?

Hi,battery keeps discharging,can charge it ,put back on van and go back few hours later and its flat"its a new battery,few mths old"only just started happening, van is a 1.6 deisel,cheers steve.o

Try charging the battery, then leaving it for a few hours then putting it in the van and testing it .
This will prove it is the van electrics discharging it.
Do you have a split charge system/ leisure battery?
Do you have a camper interior? Check all switches are off. Check Fridge relay isnt stuck.
A few hours to flatten battery is serious currant drain like a headlight or screen heater.

if the battery appears to be ok after charging and leaving, like tt says, there is a simple test for leaks, switch everything off, disconnect the neg at the battery, and connect a indecator bulb between the neg of the battery and the wire you just took off, if it lights , something is draining, remeove fuses one by one untill it goes out, the brighter it glows the bigger the drain, then all you have to do is find it........
do you have an alarm? biggest culprit!
is it a pop top? is there a light in the top you cannot see that maybe switched on?
Steroes also cause this fault if incorrectly wired in?
