Obsolete Alternator bolt

Can you believe it. The last two things I've needed for the van have been impossible to get. The same appiles to this . The square headed bolt that's used on the alternator adjustment bar. Tried most local monkeys but not a chance of finding one. Got a temp non-square headed bolt in at the moment, but it wont last for long. Anyone aware of anywhere I can get one. Does it have a specific name? Sods bloody law that i need the iccle bitty "pooh" things that keep the van going

I take it you mean obsolete from VW? (still available from classic parts in germany)
is it part no.20? (same part on a 1990 caddy)

According to ETOS it's still available from VW in the UK. Give your nearest commercial dealer a bell

vw will supply you a hex head bolt ime, just grind the head to square
