Driving back on Saturday I "lost" all the warning lights and gauges on my 1983 1.9 camper I have read that the cause could be the multiplug connector in the instrument pod being corroded could this be the case, also I have tried to remove pod cover as per directions in haynes manual i.e. lift up at the back undo two clips, is there a technique to this as mine dose not want to come off and being a bit clumsy I dont want to break it. All the indicators and lights still work its just nothing lights up no fuel gauge or temperature gauge please help any ideas am I just thick please tell me I wont be offended.

Go to the kitchen, have a couple of shredded wheat or weetabix, then give it a short sharp jerk and it should come free - they can be a bit tight.
