number keys not working:? whats the internal diameter for fuel hose and how long do i need for tank to engine bay on a syncro and a one point nine two wheel?

I measured the internal diameter of the fuel hose on my 2.1 DJ as 7mm, but the fuel hose that a local motor factor sells as 8mm ID (made by Gates) also measures 7mm ID. (Nowt wrong with my vernier!) Gates hose is 13mm OD.
Lengthwise it is the best part of 2 metres from the tank outlet to the front of the engine/engine bay IIRC.

Yup 7mm. Plain old standard beetle/Type 2 fuel hose from GSF:) Often difficult to get right size at most motor factors as I've found many times. The 8mm is just that too big to be regarded as snug and jubilee clips don't help 8mm fit any better I found - tend to slide off. The 7mm is cheap enough from GSF though.
