My fridge is an RM122B and the gas useage figures in the manual are:-

Setting 1 - 0.15kg / 24 hours
Setting 2 - 0.19kg / 24 hours
Setting 3 - 0.23kg / 24 hours

So I reckon a 907 should last for 10 days with the fridge full on. I only use my gas for coffee & cooking normally and one 907 has lasted me for at least 30 nights away this year.

depends on the cooker more than the fridge. The grill uses a fair whack. 2 bottles should see you alright easily enough though

Just spent three and a half weeks in France and used a full 6kg bottle. This included using it for hot water, oven, hob, fridge. Only had to change it the night before we came back to the UK.

i will budget for 3 x 2.4kg camping gaz then. thanks. i found out today that camping gaz refill is about 22 pounds for 2.4kg and the same amount works out about 25% cheaper on calor! however, calor's not as easy to fit in the van ......................... :run

Hi,

We have always used 907's in our van, based upon our use over the last two and half years including two trips to the south of France we would allow one full bottle per week. This is using the fridge on gas for a large proportion of the time and cooking 50-70% of the time for two people plus hot drinks.

Refilling 907's in France has been ok so I wouldn't carry a third bottle.

However, Calor is much cheaper, such that we have just changed over to two 4.5Kg Calor in time for our next trip to France in just over one weeks time :D. Being use to paying £22+ for a 2.7kg 907 it was a joy yesterday to pay under £16 for 4.5kg calor refill at the local caravan store.

The swop over was fairly easy, we did have to take out the sliding tray for the 907 but can still fit in the two new bottles in the same cupboard. You need to source calor bottles or you pay a big (£29) surcharge on first refill. We got one full bottle off ebay for little more than the price of a refill (also regulator thrown in for free) and was given the second one free by a local garage.

The new set up should see us ok for up to 4 weeks so no worries about refills abroad.

Hope this helps.. Phil
