How to identify distributor and find a replacement

Running a 1989 Westfalia California with 2.1 petrol unit. A recent breakdown and subsequent inspection by RAC and local garage has resulted in the need for a new distributor. Obviously it is electronic ignition but I cannot seem to find a replacement on the interweb anywhere, am I looking for the wrong thing can anyone recommend a supplier?
There seems to be plenty of Bosch 009 or replica's around for the T25 but these are for the older engines aren't they?

Used disis are to be found, and disis are serviceable unless bent , what's up with it ? Hall senders are on brickwerks webshop as are vac units if DJ
New disi still available from various obscure sources maybe here definately in Germany

Thanks for your post Aidan.
I have only had the van just over a month so still finding my way a little, where can I find my engine code?
The cables / plastic housing is broken at the bottom of the disty, I think this is part of the Hall Sender you refer to?

Your dizzie should have a part number stamped into the metal on the side.

it's stamped on the engine underneath the black crank breather tower.

or simply if the disi has a two pipe vacuum advance unit then it's a DJ, no vac unit it's an MV or SS, assuming it is a 2.1 with fuel injection

Thanks Guys
Enginee Code is SS (2.1 with fuel injection as mentioned).
Part Numbers on the existing Disty are:
0237 520 007 (Bosch Part number I think)
025 905 205M (Not sure what this is)

same as MV, disi is stripped from the bottom rather than from the top as with the TCI ones, I think Brickwerks sell the hall sender unit for it and the full repair kit for the hall sender
http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/shop?page=s ... yword=hall
I have a spare used disi at lockup in a engine if you need to get mobile while fixing yours
