Hi all,
My pierburg is running rich, ive tried most tings so i thought id just check thats its got the correct jets in as these carbs are used on all sorts of things!
Only problem is i cant find it anywhere on the net.. Does anyone know the jet sizes for a Pierburg 2e3 on a 1.9dg waterboxer on an 1985 t25 5 speed panel van.

Also if i want to check for air leeks whats best to use? wd40.. easy start... lynx africa ;-)??

Thanks!

How have you found out it's running rich?

Brake cleaner... the engine note will rise if it gets in to the engine

A gas anyliser test will be a better indicator in my opinion.
It will inform you of the engine state ring and valve wear airleaks (HC), airleaks (O2) and mixture (CO)

I found the colour tune is not very accurate, as it won't take oil burning into account or air leaks causing unburnt fuel making the flame yellow

I'll take a look at the airbleed jet size and tickover jet tomorrow
