The petrol ebers are very old now and discontinued I believe. Diesel ones are still available. If your van's petrol I'd just go for the Propex option - on LPG if you've got it; otherwise bottled gas.

Ebers are noisy in operation in my humble opinion.

Airtronic b4 is a current petrol version if you want new.
The current Webasto airtop 2000 has a petrol version.
You only need a small diesel tank if you wish to use diesel models.

Simplest answer is to repair the set up that you already have. (you will find more info. by looking for Truma rather than Trauma! :wink: )

My propex is great though like an ebber the humm takes some getting used to but then again anything that warms and blows air makes noise.

Gas consumption is not as much as people say. Details here http://www.propexheatsource.co.uk/air-heaters.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There are old models on ebay. Not sure what the summer prices are but the winter ebay price was up to £300 for a 20 year old X1. After you have factored in fitting, fittings, piping, vents etc you are up to the price of a new HS2000 fully fitted at Gasure.

would it be madness to try to convert a 24v to 12v?? there seem to be loads of 24v's around?
