What Engine Battery for T25

Hi there can anybody let me know what engine battery i need to buy for my T25 diesel 1985 1.6 please. The one thats fitted since we bough the camper has never started or worked. Ive tried several garages and vw specialists and nobody seems to be able to help! Many thanks Debbie

There are quite a lot of companies who supply batteries via the internet/carrier. Do a Google search for 'car batteries' but when you get to the home page choose the 'van/light commercial' option. Then enter VW Transporter/Year/Diesel etc & you should get several choices of suitable batteries. Pay particular attention to the figure given for ''Cold Cranking''. I used a company in Stockport but I think they have been taken over by another company.

Hasn't this been covered in the wiki?
Basically ANY starter battery that fits... The bigger the better.
