Its possibly the breathers above the tank that are the culprit, not the tank itself... thos ethat go to the expansion tanks.

i am in birmingham if you let me know what area you are in i will let you know who i know there
the tank should not be to diff to change i think just kampers do a kit with all the relevant seals

there is also a vw auto breaker in oldbury i will try to get number they do service work as well
