Multivan Rear Heater

Hi all

Need a bit of help - my van (multivan) does not seem to have the parts for the rear heater under the seat. The main part which seems to be missing is the part which attaches to the vent.

Sorry to sound vague - could anyone possibly pretty please send me some pics or give me an idea of what should be there. My handbook mentions a valve which you can turn on and off, I have that, but what appears to be another bit, possibly some kind of black box judging by the manual appears to be missing.

At the moment the vent is just loose. I've had a look round the net and seen various parts, but as I don't know what I am actually missing it seems a bit silly to stat buying stuff.

I haven't got my van at the mo - so I can't add pics - any ideas or help would, as ever, be appreciated

James

Hello,

Could it be the heater matrix? See

http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/shop?page=s ... gory_id=57" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you search around on the forum I think someone has posted a picture of the heater and all the parts from VAGCAT (the VW computer thingy that shows you the parts in the VW Parts Shop).

It's raining stair rails here so I don't want to take a photo at the moment :| ..... If the sun shines I will try to!

Good luck finding what's missing.

Tom.

I think it is this

With a shroud to go over the top.

Raining stair rails :rollin

Ah - someone has taken the whole thing out! I guess they have blanked off the coolant hoses or you'd be using 2ltr an hour

I have a leak on the switch peace and am waiting for some good weather to put the new one in......never good weather when you have the time!

I hope you find the replacement bits ok.

That's interesting - I am not using a lot of coolant but my van does choke up when cold - or appears to be doing so - i wondering if the two are connected in some way?
