Ignition leads too short

I just bought a set of ignition leads for my 1.9DG engined caravelle from a local motorfactor and two of the leads are too short to comfortably reach the 1 and 2 spark plugs.
They are certain the part number on them ties is correct for the van but two of the lead are 60mm too short and the other two and the coil lead are about 50mm longer than the ones i took off. :?

Anyone else had the same problem?

Yep, and they turned out to be the wrong set - which no doubt you've already concluded.

Thats fine if you've got the vehicle with you, but i didn't. :(

They appear to be the right length for a mk2/3 golf 1.8 according to ETKA/VAGcat.
