Leisuredrive Pop Top

Hi all
I'm new to this so bear with me. Me and my fiance Jon are the proud owners of a 1990 'G' reg T25 1.7 diesel 5 speed Leisuredrive pop top camper
and she will be going in for bodywork and paint in August. Whilst she is in there we would like to have the bellows replaced as they're pretty grotty, split in places and generally horrible.
. The only problem being that the bellows are lined with a 'beige' cord carpet type material which continues onto the actual pop top itself, this obviously provides a little insulation etc and the carpet is actually sewn into the bellows on the seams and looped over the frame in places to keep it in place. Has anyone come across this before and have any ideas as to how we can retain this material and re-attach it to the new bellows? We don't want to lose it as it forms part of the interior of the van and keeps the double bed area in the roof insulated.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Cheers
Jo
