hello there
You may have read my previous post about 'getting hitched' where i explained that the outlaws had finally got there way and i'm soon to be wed. The fture Mrs Italianjob has delegated the duty of organising the honeymoon to me - 2 weeks in our van - great

Up till last night we were off to The Gower and Pembrokeshire. I say up untill last night because now the future Mrs Italianjob has changed her mind (which ofcourse is a woman's perogative

) and we're off to Cornwall for two weeks.
Does anybody know of any romantic

campsites on or very near a beach so we gat get some seriuosly good sunsets please? Looking for a smallish site that won't break our balls with loads of rules or loads of loud music.
So far, I've come up with Blue Hills campsite near St Agnes and Henry's down on the lizard.
Any suggestions will be greatfully recieved. Not long now, about 6 weeks, mama mia
ta for now

obviously if its sunsets you're after the you'll have to stay north coast. as i suggested to somebody earlier porth joke or"polly joke" at crantock just truro side of newquay is amazing! very small and a little rough around the edges i.e not sterile painted line divisions no hook-ups but otherwise all you need and a 3min walk down a tiny path to the beach which often has cows lying at the high water line. and its a quiet beach, no shop or anything!!! but dont tell everybody

fantastique

will check it out on googleearth, sounds 'right up our strada' as the bald one from masterchef says. Things are getting hetic on the run up to the big day so a complete break from the daya to day is what we're after.
ta for now

Have a look at Trevendra

The beaches below the site are spectacular. If yo're really lucky you might even get dolphins turn up for the sunset. There's a cafe / restaurant right on the beach at Sennen Cove for that romantic evening meal.

Nice quirky campsite Lloydy. Owners make fresh scones everyday, there are chickens and pigs around the place, two pubs in the village (50yds) and a great chippy as well as lovely coast. Especially Kynance Cove
On the original topic I would reccommend Dennis Cove Campsite at Padstow for a relaxing few days eating and drinking. We usually like to camp in different places but we've been here for the weekend for the last 3 years just to relax

It's the nearest you can camp to Padstow and only a short 10 minute stroll to the harbour the traffic free Camel Trail (former railway now a cycle path). There are a couple of nice italian restaurants in Padstow as well as the usual things like fish n chips, pubs, ice cream and the best pasties in cornwall at Chough Bakery.
I'd also recommend cycling the camel trail towards Bodmin as well as walking the coast to the mouth of the River Camel and the tower overlooking the cliffs.
Another one is Headland Camping Park in tintagel. It's a nice and flat grassy site and again is just next to the village. tintagel castle and the coast.

From here I would recommend walking the coast to Trebarwith Strand and back or get the bus to Boscastle, have a cream tea at the Harbour Light Cafe and then walk the 5 miles back to Tintagel along the beautiful coast path

Treen!
http://treenfarmcampsite.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You can't go much further and the sunsets are on the other side but the beaches below the campsite are stunning (but you will see some naked people) you've got Minack Theatre in walking distance and lots of nice pubs with good food and pints of Tribute. The campsite is small and chilled out, you can't book but turn up early enough and you should be fine.
On your way down call in to Margarets tea van at Northcott Mouth
http://www.flickr.com/photos/kazmizandl ... otostream/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , you can usually camp on the cliff-top above Northcott, it's just a field with a portaloo but one of my favourite places in the world and the sunsets are stunning.

Cheers for all the great ideas, I think the future Mrs Italianjob is not goign to want to go back after our stay - which is cool as I've always wanted to live in cornwall
all i've got to do now is choose.
One other thing - we will be driving down from oxford, do you reckon we should stop half way or just get the 6 hour drive out of the way so we can crack open ab bottle or three of the old champers and watch the sunset

i'll get some eean martin on sing 'thats amore...............'
ta for now (5 weeks and counting)

6 hours from Oxford? In reverse gear?
I've always done the trip from Preston all in one. Why waste a day when you don't have to?
