Hi, pretty sure this will be your indicator stalk, if the hazards work then there is no problem with bulbs, relays etc. When you click your indicator stalk down it makes two springy strips of copper make contact (from memory), these get gunked up over time.

To fix the problem park your van with the wheels straight and removes your horn button on the steering wheel, remove the bolt underneath and, again from memory i think there are some quite long black screw holding the stalks in, remove the screws for your indicator and inspect the copper strips. If there gunked up clean with white spirit or similar, if they are dull/tarnished lightly sand with fine sanding paper until there shiney again.

That wil almost definitely be your problem, also check the plug that connects to the stalk is pushed on fully and that all the pins are in the plug, basically do a visual check all around this area and make sure all copper is clean and tidy and all wiring/pins are in tact.

Should take around half hour the hardest part is finding a big enough socket for the nut behind your horn button.

Good Luck!

Well.....I had exactly this prob on another T25 and it turned out to be a fuse that looked ok and fell to bits when I removed it. Do check there carefully if you've had no probs up to now and certainly before delving into column. Could also be poor connection for indicator circuit on rear of fuse box but often its something as simple as a dodgy fuse.

Thank you both for your replies, we have tried the first one but the copper was clean. I have just ordered some new fuses and a new indicator relay so fingers crossed we can do it before it goes for MOT.

:ok

Have you checked the hazard switch, don't ask me why but that was suggested to me when I had a similar problem.

Cool well today in the post we have recieved new fuses and relays etc we are going to go through it all bit by bit and use a process of illimination - we have moved our MOT to next Saturday, I just hope it's something we can sort ourselves :ok
