long time no post, more smoke woes

Hi Guys
Been a long time since I've been on here. As some of you may remember (and some witnessed as dubfreeze) my van was suffering for a serious smoke problem. After it failed miserably on the emission test and after taking it to a diesel specialist I was informed my engine was knackered so saved up the pennies and have just had an AAZ fitted from a mark 3 golf. The chaps who did it were really friendly and very knowledgeable. Anyway, after they got it all back together using the JX manifold and turbo etc she still smoked! Makes me think a turbo issue. They removed the turbo and exhaust, run it through the parts cleaner put it back together and hey presto, no smoke and new MOT!!! Picked up the van yesterday and about 10 mins into the journey home the smoke returned as bad as it was before (I'm talking clouds filling the street) plus oil coming out of the exhaust....not impressed. Got her home turned her off for about an hour then started her up again......no smoke so turned her off again. Gonna take her out for a drive again today and see what happens. Could a blocked oil feed/return to the turbo cause this? I have the leftover AAZ turbo and manifold but apparently the mechanics tell me it wont fit onto the exhaust as they have different flanges??? What options do I have? Am I thinking new turbo needed? or is there a way to use the AAZ?
Help always gratefully appreciated.
