3 way electrolux 212A - Not getting cold..

Afternoon everyone,
Decided whilst the sun is out, i'd pop the fridge out of the van and see if I can work out why its not getting cold on gas.
12v - it takes an age
Mains, gets pretty cool, but does take a while.
I've had the jet out and give it a clean, I can see no apparant blockage in it. I cant see to get at the burner though, its encased in what is a metal tube stuffed with insulation.
Lights fairly easily, can take a few minutes though, and no massive amount of heat coming up the exhaust?
Any suggestions? or does it sound like this is just one of those things i'll have to live with?
Thanks
Chris

They take a while for the process to get up and running. The gas flame is only tiny so you're not going to feel that hot - the electrics only about 100W I think. Since you've got it out though, stand it on it's head for a day and try it afterwards to see if that improves it.

oh ok, what does standing it on its head do?
(Sorry if that sounds dumb?)

flame looks good, standint it on its head mixes up the chemicals inside it and often sorts um, as for taking a while on 240 mines only a couple of years old and that takes about an hour to get cold, tho the freezer bit gets cold after about 10 mins

No point in turning it upside down if it does work on electrickery - it is obviously mixed.

Another question.. Could it be that the fluids/gas needs replacing? or topping up etc...

No and no. Unless you plan on camping when it's really cold as propane will carry on working when butane won't - otherwise no difference.
