AAG Wiring loom

Im currently nervously opening up the wiring loom from my Mk3 Gti although im not 100% certain which bits to cut out. I have read 'VW in-line four cylinder engines into T3 Transporter' guidelines, which have been very usefull, but im still struggling to understand. Im converting my Aircooled T25 so do not have any of the original wiring the diesel busses have.
Any help would be appreciated.
