Hi All!!

We've just bought our very first T25 and are bursting to take her out for her first run.. we're planning a little trip to the coast tmrw so today is my fixing day! This may be a silly question but i don't fancy blowing us all up! The fridge runs off the gas bottle.. so, i need to get a gas bottle today.. my question is this. Do i just connect the bottle, turn the gas on and turn the fridge on and voila? or do i need to do anything else? Thanks for any info any of you can provide!!!

Thanks for the speedy reply!!!! and for the welcome... had a Beetle in my teens and loved the whole VW life and now finally got a camper and am bursting with excitement!! so much so that even thought the forecast for tmrw is heavy rain.. we're still packing up the 7 month old baby and 2 dogs for a run to the beach!!!

Some fridges yes as you say connect, turn on the gas, switch the fridge onto gas and the fridge does the rest. Many however you connect the cylinder, switch it on, turn the fridge to gas and then pump the gas knob and then click the ignitor until you see a small blue flame in the viewing window inside the fridge.

I strongly advise the use of a Carbon Monoxide alarm AND a smoke alarm.
