Stayed there overnight at Brive La Gaillarde. Some of the most stunning Frech countryside I have ever seen.

Take the time to visit Sarlat (medieval town) and sample the food and take in the architecture. Go to Lascaux and see the cave drawings. :ok

Fantastic part of France , been around that area a few times and stayed at a municipal site at Aubeterre-sur-Dronne , there's an aire there too , on the river , Riberac is a nice town, has a big market there (Fridays I think) again there's an aire.

Like a lot of France ,there's loads to see and do , just go and explore , take a couple of days getting down there , don't use the payages as the N10 is a great road.

We were planning to go this year but something has got in the way , just been having a look at some pitures from the last few years .. wish I was there now

Stayed on the municipal site in Aubeterre in May this year. Lovely, cheap and you can swim in the river beside the site.

North of Perigueux try Brantome. It's a beautiful small town with water flowing everywhere. The campsite is 10 mins walk from the town and has a river flowing beside it. I caught a fish in it 2 years ago. Again, cheap and has a new swimming pool on the site. There's also a maasive free aire in town beside the river.

Frank.

Hi Half way between Perigueux and Bergerac on the RN21 is a small town called Pont st Mamet there is a campsite run by a Dutch couple called Camping Lestaubier. Very nice and fantastic for small children but also cool for adults too.
Where ever you go ........... enjoy it. David
