Battery fitment

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum so hope this is in the right place!
Had my camper a few weeks now so I thought I better start getting some things straight on it. I've got a new leisure battery which will just fit under the passenger seat but only if I remove some box section steel which pulls out from under the seat to form the basis for a buddy seat ...maybe? Can anyone tell me the best way to get to the box section and remove it?

Hi, not sure what the box section is you refer to, but sounds like the battery you have got is too high to fit properly. If you get or have a swivel seat, you dont want it shorting the terminals when you swivel on it .............

Check your battery dimensions against these

Great Post as usual,Rob. Next when you get it in place check all the fuses in the fusebox. If you have the older "bullet" type ones, rotate each in their terminals, as they can look fine but yet not connect properly. If you have a westy, check the two fuses on the door pillar to the rear of the drivers seat. Lots of luck {and a good multi meter] as camper wiring gets chopped about a lot. Nigel in Cavan

Cheers for the replies, managed to remove the box section steel, just a couple of screws at the front and back but still couldn't get it out from under the seat so I managed to shove it to one side ( bit of a bodge I know) and the battery just slid in and the swivel seat just clears it! Thanks for the tip on the fuses will give it a whirl.
