HI Peeps
as above just had an mot and amongst the welding !! he sighted this as a problem :(

When I fitted the wheels I did see that they were close and so bent the little bracket round a bit and seemed to gain the clearence, but man with the rule/safety book sais there too close

So has anyone else had this problem? are shorter flexis an option?

any advice would be great I am new too this I'm spending loads and haven't even stayed the night in her yet! Hoping it'll all be worth it in the end

The latest GSF ones do this as well ... the nack is to introduce a slight twist in the hose as you tighten it, that leads it away from the wheel. Also there's a rubber sleeve, if thats pushed down to the bottom that also helps push the slack hose away from the tyre.

Make sure you twist it the right way - I did it in a hurry once twisted it the wrong way so that it went closer to the wheel when moved.

if they rub , slide over some old water hose, split it if you like and cable tie it too the hose so it is sleeved.

the rubbing is no longer the brake hose- so not dangerous or an mot fail!

What happens when the water pipe wears through or fails?

I would fix the problem correctly / safely 1st.
