How do I add an extra socket

Hi all
I'm thinking about adding an extra outlet below the seat/bed because our bus only came with one. I'd like to have the option of running other item if i wanted to: (microwave, stereo, TV, reading lamp, portable hot tub, photo copier....you get the idea)
How do I go about doing this? Is there any web sites, photo links, instructions to look at?
Cheers

My advice would be buy yourself a four socket trailing extension lead and leave 240v electrical installation to sparkys

:D

just be careful not to overload it, check the wattage of items you intend to use in the van

You will need a new twin RCD suitably rated for the extra socket and what it will be used for
Then it's just hiding the wires game

make sure you wire in a minimum of 2.5 mm cable. dont go shoving any old cable in. also,as kev said, make sure it is backed with an rcd. every thing 240v should be backed with one. 30milli amps. also make sure the socket you fit is double pole.
