tyre size???????

eyup ducks,im having a problem working out my rolling radius on my tyres on my van,the tyre size is "185r14".....im okay with the 185 and the 14 but does the "r" mean it is a 70 or an 80 tyre?baffling the crap out of me!

the r just means its a radial tyre and if it doesn't show an aspect ratio then i beleive its usually 80 but for the anorak ins and outs of tyres take a look here even has a calculator

As a rule the std 14" tyres are 650mm diameter

jack the van up, put a tape measure around the outside of the tyre, go up the tyre shop do it to a bigger tyre, see what the difference is then you can work out the difference per revolution.
