Dizzy

Hi I've just changed dizzy ours was the Z414 model/with two vacuum pipes
We have a 1.9 watercooled petrol DG engine,the above dizzy was fitted when we bought it,
After it went I searched the model number and found that the dizzy is for different code engine?even though van worked fine
I then bought the DG engine code Z415 model which had only the single vacuum pipe?
So I changed the vacuums over so the working single vacuum pipe now has the dead ones twin pipe vacuum and the van seems fine again
Is this ok?
