Try Camping Trez Rouz near Camaret sur Mer -
http://www.trezrouz.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Just across the road from a beach, very quiet and about 3 miles from nearest town. Fairly basic but they do good chips! (sorry - French fries!). Fabulous area with lots to do and see and beautiful beaches. There are 2 aires at Camaret (though one is non camping) and a municipal site, together with a couple or so other campsites in the area. Having said that, there are some great sleepy spots there too! We will be in that area round about 15th August for a few days. Have fun!

Some friends of ours came down to visit us recently ans stayed at a campsite in mid Brittany, although the site looked magical set in a vally surrounded by forest and a lake they had been bitten to bits with Mozzies .......... don't forget yer citronella candles and anti mozzie cream

there's plenty wee sites where ye can get in even in july august and also plenty places where ye can park up for a night or 2 with no hassle.
i've been in places right on the beach where the gendarmerie have come along at 111pm and moved on all the mobile home monsters and wished me a cordialement bon nuit.
i'm off tomorrow maybe in that direction but feck knows where i'll get to after checking the weather again.
might even end up visiting sid again.

No need to book sites- even in July and August.
Near Roscoff, to the West, try Plouescat. It's a lovely little site, right on the sea, mostly French people on the site. Lovely place. A little island, beach, a few shops and cafes, nothing much really. Just the way I like it.
But there are so many small municipal and privately owned sites in Brittany, you really can't go wrong.
Enjoy it.
Frank.
