Hi I did this a while back but didn't keep a record, sorry! but from memory its a M10 or M8 bolt, (looking at vagcat
part 8 hexagonal head bolt M8X35 /
part 11 hexagonal head bolt M10X28 /

make sure its 8.8 tensile strength or better. depth is critical as its a blind hole and you dont want to stress the case again but tripple check first. wavy washers were used originally to prevent vibration undoing them I used a spring washer and a standard washer to prevent it cutting into the alloy engine mount. I supported engine with a trolley jack and a piece of ply under the sump to spread the load. then removed the engine carrier. used a right angled drill there was just enough space with the battery and water bottle moved out the way (I left it connected) to trill out the snapped bolt (dont go too deep) It opened to about 4mm, then realising I was off centre got an easyout in there with loads of plus gas and wound it out. It may be different depending on which bolt and which side it is obviously. I used a timecert kit to repair the bolt hole on a stripped thread, It was tough cutting the iron block but it got there flushed it out with wd 40 while holding a strong magnet nearby to collect the swarf
