I'm joining a bunch of people at the end of the month for a stroll up Scafell Pike and it looks like we'll be camping here http://www.hollowsfarm.co.uk/?a=campsites" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I've got a few free days around then so thought I'd take the opportunity to have a nosey around the area. Any recommendations of places to go, things to do etc. would be much appreciated.

From the site I would recommend walking up Castle Crag. It's the smallest Wainwright fell. It's an interesting and varied day out. Carry on from Castle Crag to Seatoller and Rosthwaite for a pint in each and return to Hollows farm via the river. No need to move the van.

See here for a map of where I mean

Hollows Farm is a beautiful campsite! Coffee by the water in the morning, kids can explore safely, hills to walk, crags for climbing very close by. Enjoy your stay, and just beware the walk to the showers haha
