OK
I used pop rivets spaced out a foot apart, with a silicone sealant under the rail

BTW I used longer rivets to get through the top properly

Sika-flex, Tigerseal, etc. is all you need. It will pull the jellcoat off of fiberglass if you aren't careful.
Is panel adhesive/sealant like used on boats and car panels. Is nothing like silicone caulk!!
I know cus I had to move my track up about 4" and had a hellofatime getting it off.

Masking tape does wonders for holding it in place while adhesive sets up.

I've just got a length of awning channel and it has the pre-drilled countersunk holes in the middle of the channel... it has a slight arch to the back of it as well.. Not sure i'll get rivets in it,so looks like pilot drill and screw ... has anyone else fitted this type of rail..??????.i don't want to mess up my pop top base ... or should i look at other channel with a wider base ..???? :(

if i had the money i would get a f35 or 45
