Dash lights & oil pressure warning

I have 2 problems with my 'new' T25:

1. The Oil Pressure light is always on, unless I turn the headlights on! With sidelights on, the oil pressure light comes and goes but with headlights on it does not come on at all. Previous owner said it had been doing this for a while with no real issues and we have driven her a few times with not problems so I don't think there really is an issue with the oil pressure, just the warning light. Has anyone seen this before and can point me at where to look? I assume it's a short / bad earth somewhere but have no experience of tracking down and fixing such things.

2. The dashboard illumination does not work. Seems there are some very flimsy ribbon cables going to 2 bulb holders on top of the dash and I think they are broken. Where to get replacements?

clean up the earth crowns by the relay board on the A pillar

the flimsy ribbon is obsolete now, so you'll have to make do, or use a good second hand one...and it's not cheap... :D

I'll have a look when she comes back from the bodyshop this week.

That's a shame. I'll have to rig something up then. Is it an MOT fail if she has no dashboard illumination when test time comes around at the end of the month?
