Which diesel engine

Gonna be swopping engines soon petrol to diesel currently running a DG 1.9 just wanna know which is the best diesel to go for as power and economy in thicky terms please

or gas it and get 57mpg in running costs............
or do both !!!!!!!! 57mpg and mirrors that fold in at 100mph

I know i should Mr D.H but can't afford it struggling to run the van as it is hence the decision to go diesel pref Tdi

If you can't afford to run it then you can't afford to TDi it, that's for sure!
Ask Jake Syncro&no101 about conversion costs......

If its purely for running costs the best way is LPG what you have, much more economical (cost wise) than diesel and cheaper to convert.

1.6 td SB 80bhp,

My way of thinking as billy as for the cost of the conversion got the parts to do the job just need a donor vehicle and a little help from my friends eh Phil

i agree mr hell, but to be honest i get a big grin from my TDI every time im in it, not quite folding the mirrors in yet but a play with the gear ratios which is the problem will soon sort that

think gears will be the next thing on my shopping list , my velle looks a bit odd with massive tyres on the back ,, think its good that the mirrors folds in above 95 it reminds me to slow down lol
